Simon Hill - Nutrition. This has been a very successful podcast for several years. It is not designed specifically for AGERs, but Simon has recently has recently moved into lifestyle issues and longevity as well as healthy eating. His approach is soundly based on science and may at times require background knowledge and study to gain full benefit from the presentations. He also has a book, The Proof is in the Plant.

There are many sites that provide exercise programs for AGERs. I like this one mother-daughter one because of the modifications provided for different fitness levels. Equipment is minimized. They use warm ups and cool downs, so important for preventing injury.

Peter is the author of Outlive, one of the best longevity books out there. His podcast, The Drive, is definitely science driven and detailed. Background study may be needed for non-scientists. A great place to learn!

Dr. Gupta is the author of Keeping Sharp: Build a Better Brain at Any Age. Like the book, his podcast is not restricted to the aging lifestyle. However, both feature general health and fitness advice appropriate for any stage of life. I trust Dr. Gupta to follow science and not merely belief and opinion.

Will Bulsiewicz,MD. author of The Fiber Fueled Diet,better known as Dr.B., knows your gut and how to keep it churning. He is a frequent podcast guest and has an excellent newsletter and many courses on fiber food and microbiome management.

This blog was started in 2019 and has monthly entries. There are 3 main bloggers, Linda, Nancy, and Dinah. The blogs are sensitive, timely, and varied in topic. Throughout the writings you find pride and positive acceptance of aging. Yes,proud aging men can read it too and I do!

Blue Zone operations and media have moved beyond the regions where centenarians abide and thrive. Even Netflix joined the journey. Despite the hype there's some real "meat" in this plant-based lifestyle approach to longevity. Take a bite!

That's Bob to the left and Brad on the right. They have thousands of videos and millions of subscribers so something must be working for them. Their light- hearted presentation style and banter is probably one reason. Any imaginable human movement and source of pain seems to be covered. Choose exercises wisely and only if your healthcare provider recommends it. Be careful if alone!

This website is a hidden gem. 'Wanna be a fast twitcher? Eric, physical therapist, will teach you how to improve your cardio from your chair! His sincere and sensitive manner will keep you twitching to better health.

Michael Breus, Ph.D, Clinical Psychologist, is a polished self-promoter. Uncertain about featuring him here, I did some further research and watched a few videos. He has outstanding credentials. Despite his product marketing and media hype, his videos are soundly based on science and standard practice. He has a series of 12 for AGERs. Watch some videos and see if your sleep improves.!

The THI is a global coalition of health professionals from over 50 countries. Their mission is combatting misinformation in healthcare. They promote evidence-based lifestyle practices and support the current medical system to prevent and treat disease. They also recommend a plant-based diet.

Gil Carvalho, Ph.D, MD. is a research scientist and interpreter of nutritional studies for the nonscientist. He unravels confusing conclusions from "experts" who sometimes depart from actual science.  You may not agree with him but he sticks to verifiable facts with a calm and comfortable presention style.

I just discovered this hot spot for AGERs. For five years they've had a podcast where they interview women with a positive message for aging. While they have a membership fee, it appears that the podcast is free. They also sponsor events such as one recently with Ashley Applewhite, author and agism authority. I plan to catch some more of their 300+ podcasts!

International

Laughter not only gives you joy and pleasure it may extend your life! "LY" or Laughter Yoga was developed by Dr. Madan Kataria, an Indian physician, and has spread to 110 countries. The organization offers fee-based courses, but you can pick it up very quickly with videos from their You Tube Channel, here. LY has become part of my morning routine and for times when I just choose to laugh for better health!
