I have been very fortunate to have found online teachers to help with my PAL progress. Maybe some of these gifted teachers can be of help to you as well.

The last few years I have been moving towards plant-based eating choices. I am not a total vegan but I try to limit consumption of dairy products and meat to reduce saturated fat consumption. I have found Will Yeung's recipes healthy and delicious and easy to prepare. He's a You Tube star chef!

As I was developing the Move More Muscle Challenge course I became more aware of the careful attention required with AGERs to prevent injury and maximize fitness. I decided to pursue certification as a Personal Trainer to design my own exercise program and to better advise AGERs who participate in the A+LDC. It took several months of intensive study and a lengthly exam, but I recently completed my training. I would encourage any of you to do the same if this is a special area of interest. Action is budget friendly and very well organized and respected in the industry.

I have recently implemented a music program into my cognitive skill expansion routines. One of my instruments is guitar. Lauren Bateman encourages AGERs to begin playing and has many free lessons in addition to more formal fee-based courses. One of her students in 92 years old. Never too late!

My instructor for the recorder and ukelele is an elementary music teacher. There will be plenty of other teachers available when I outgrow Mr. Klotz. But it may be a while - not quite as fast in learning music as I was 70 years ago!

I have practiced various forms of meditation since 1975. Gil is the most skilled teacher I have found. I am not a Buddhist and becoming one is not necessary to benefit from his teachings. I have joined him in northern California at the Insight Meditation Center and value the 20-year online contact. Donations optional.

I bought a Yamaha electronic keyboard[PSR-E283] to grow my brain some more. I found a free course for beginners using the Alfred system and bought the book on Ebay. The teacher from NC is annonymous, never see his face, but the instruction is excellent. My concert is pending! Brain growth slow!

Cashiers, NC

To complement my CPT certification I decided to obtain formal training in yoga. I chose My Vinyasa Practice in Austin, Texas. I have completed a 200 hr. yoga teacher training program and a 100 hr. mindulness coaching course. This is an excellent school if you are looking for advanced yoga instruction.

Also in Hot Spots because I wanted to make sure you found it. Dr. Madan Kataria has taught me the importance of laughing especially when I don't feel like it! That when you REALLY need to laugh. Try it but don't be surprised if you get some strange looks, especially alone in public!

If you've seen my "Brain Bag" video you will know how I happened to rediscover this excellent device for growing my cognitive skills and keeping impairment at bay. I encourage you to join me in this challenging brain booster. I hope some day to give you a success video!

Also from my "Brain Bag" where it was hidden for 30 years. Part of my expanding orchestra. Aren't you dying to learn too? [Sorry, bad choice of words]. Another great way to keep those cognitive connections growing.

I don't usually think of exploring my surroundings as a longevity tool, but it certainly can be. It involves walking, learning, and experiencing the outdoors, usually in healthy air environments. It is mentally stimulating and a great source of companionship for myself and Lolita, my wife. Dave, essentially anonymous, has nearly 300 videos and over 200K subscribers!

He roams the Southwest with his camera and provides well-researched video stories of his adventures. Even if you can't retrace his steps you will find them enjoyable and invigorating. Here's another website I like for roadside attractions, covering the U.S.
