This website provides instruction and resources for this special group of agers. Founded by Ailene Gerhardt in 2021 it has a podcast, You Tube Videos and articles geared towards those of you who are "solos". Some products and services are on a fee basis.
Solo agers, sometimes referred to as solo "orphans" are those growing older without family support. This could be for a number of reasons such as estrangement or loss of loved ones. Perhaps you were an only child and relatives are unknown or gone. This listing of resources is for you and we honor and respect your unique life circumstances. You are NOT alone even without close family beside you!
Group membership is encouraged but not required for exploring. The subtitle theme for this site is "aging together", very important when you are solo. Here you can find a blog with many articles for solo living with a focus on intimacy and relationships. They feature companion websites entitled "Aging in Pages" and a somewhat oddly phrased "Date With Death Club." This site is worthy of browsing. Maybe it's for you!
