AGER Health / Medical Associations

There are times when we need general information about health and sometimes more detailed medical assistance prior to meeting with our caregivers.  This page will continue to add resources for you in both areas.  As AGERs we have unique needs so some of these listings will help in that regard while other sites  are less age restrictive.  I hope you find what you want and need.

Peter Bowes is mentioned as a contributor or host but no further bio details were provided. I was able to locate the You Tube videos to complement the audio portion. There is also an Instagram account with around 250 posts and nearly 1K followers.  Supplement sales appear to support the podcast and video production. Topics are healthspan oriented with interviews from professionals.  Let us know what you think!

The THI is a global coalition of health professionals from over 50 countries. Their mission is combatting misinformation in healthcare. They promote evidence-based lifestyle practices and support the current medical system to prevent and treat disease. They also recommend a plant-based diet.

This comprehensive health website has an A-Z glossary of common illnesses and health conditions. Additional articles are under headings such as Prevention and Treatment, Medical and Health, News and Tools and Resources. It is not devoted specifically to ager issues but has a section on Aging here. All articles are reviewed by a medical team.  To me, this site appears to be a very professional and  reliable health  information source.

Need to find a medical term definition or condition? This is a very comprehensive directory that probably has it. I have most of them on little note cards that I have been memorizing for several years and practice daily to keep my brain sharp. I'll put a video here when I get it produced, hopefully soon. I know, a little wierd, but I do things like that!

These links will save you searching time since you can find them all in one location. Good for AGERs and Caretakers who need general information about common health conditions and diseases as well as age-related impacts. They are all "clickable" for quick access.
