Welcome to the Positive AGER Lifestyle

                               [PAL] Center!

Hello, I'm Humpty. Have fun exploring our comprehensive information center for successful aging. Let me give you a brief tour of the header categories above so you can find what you are looking for quickly.

AGER Resources.  Here you will find a dropdown menu with lists of topics  pertaining to all aspects of aging. These will direct you to podcasts, blogs, videos, You Tube channels, articles, and websites. Hyperlinks are underlined - click this one now to see my You Tube Channel, We Are Positive AGERs. For videos in listings just click the  red arrow. You can pull up a full screen by clicking the [  ] in the lower right corner of the navigation bar.  All menu items are in random order, not ranked by value or quality.  I have spent hundreds of hours choosing only the top options for you so eliminations have already been made. Just scroll and hop on any sites of interest. The listings are monitored and expanded regularly so come back often. I hope you like the large print. I certainly do!

AGERville.    I have always wanted to be a writer of fiction. I spent my career as a writer of  nonfiction in the manner of psychological assessment reports. With AGERville I get to indulge in combining fiction and nonfiction about a community that fosters positive aging lifestlyes, but not without considerable drama along the way. It is based in an actual geographical location in Riverside County, California, where I live. It encompasses pre- historic, historic, and  future centuries of psychological and medical progress in the treatment of aging issues and conditions. It is not a typical e-book novel, perhaps more of an interactive screenplay in design with hyperlinks and videos involving not only fictional but real people, events, and places. It will have   a streaming format with seasons and episodes rather than chapters. You can read and watch it here before it gets to Netflix!  May I live that long!  I hope to have some initial episodes online by mid 2026.

Forms: This dropdown contains forms to support the A+LDC program including assessments, goals, and certificates.

More About Me

For 30 years I was Dr. Ronald Humphrey, teacher, administrator, and psychologist in the public schools of Arizona, North Carolina, and California. My doctorate is in Educational Psychology, the Ed.D degree. Teaching and learning are my specialties. I have found both to be very important in my approach to successful aging.

Since retiring I have been busy renovating properties, traveling, horseback riding and I even remarried at the age of 71 after 46 years of solo living.  One of my goals has been to stay healthy, active and happy. I am my own guinea pig and I practice what I preach. So far so good!

A few years ago I decided to formalize my lifestyle pattern into a program that I could pass on to others who might have a similar interest. My research led me to believe it might be possible to add an extra decade to our lives by making lifestyle changes such in diet, exercise, stress reduction, improing cognition and getting better sleep. Science seems to back this idea.  I have formalized my system into the acronym rich AGER+LEARNS Decade Challenge [A+LDC], which you can explore above and on my You Tube Channel.

Thanks for visiting and I hope you are pleased with the format and resources I provide to help you age long and well.  Have a Positive AGER Day!
